Wirefree introduces the CYGNUS multi-purpose low-power wireless radio board designed for the hostile environments of manufacturing and industry. This is a 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.15.4 mesh radio system. CYGNUS is designed for expansion and flexibility using a motherboard – daughterboard hardware architecture. The motherboard hosts the wireless radio processor, power regulation, GPIO signals (General Purpose Input / Output), standard peripherals and connects to various daughterboard implementations through signal bus expansion connectors.

CYGNUS Industrial I/O board

The industrial I/O board is used to interface CYGNUS with standard analog and digital sensors and external systems. The I/O board connects to the bottom of CYGNUS via two 30 pin expansion connectors.
